Rocky Mountain Instinct A50 Shimano (Grey/Beige)

Trail bikes are best described as a bike that can do it all. They are perfect for climbing steep hills and descending technical terrain with ease. The Rocky Mountain Instinct is capable of tackling technical trail riding but still allows you to push the pedals hard on the climbs. It has a FORM Alloy frame that uses 150mm of travel on the front and 140mm of travel on the rear. The frame features RIDE-4 adjustable geometry so you can dial in your ride for the terrain you ride on. The frame also comes with 2-bolt ISCG-05 tabs, internal cable routing, and integrated frame protection.

 

The A50 version of the Rocky Mountain Instinct comes with a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 10-51T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through difficult terrain much easier. Shimano MT6120 4-Piston hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power so you can descend under control. WTB ST Light i30 Tubeless rims are paired with Maxxis Dissector tires. The rims can be set up tubeless with the proper tires for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the Rocky Mountain X Fusion Manic dropper seatpost, you'll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle with the press of a lever.

FORM Alloy FORM tubesets utilize premium materials to meet our strict requirements. Each FORM tube that we create is engineered for its specific purpose within the frame, ensuring optimized strength, weight, and ride quality.   RIDE-4 adjustment system The RIDE-4 adjustment system allows riders to quickly fine-tune their geometry with a pair of Allen keys. Four configurations are possible thanks to one rotating chip.   Reach Adjust Headsets Fine tune your ride with center, +/- 5mm offset options.   Two-position axle The two frames, in both alloy and carbon, are equipped with a two-position axle dropout.   Size Specific tune Size Specific Tune ensures that riders of all sizes get the right balance of small-bump compliance, mid-stroke support, and end-stroke progressiveness. Our design team does custom shock tunes based on real world field testing, and adjusts each tune for specific frame sizes.
