| Technology | 3C MaxxTerra Intermediate triple compound configuration that can be used for most types of riding. As a result of less rolling resistance, the MaxxTerra compound is a great choice for riders facing uphill climbs. EXO+ Cut and abrasion-resistant construction combines two of Maxxis' best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. Wide Trail (WT) Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm internal width rims. A minimum of 6mm clearance between all parts of the bicycle (frame and fork) and the tire is recommended. Tubeless Ready Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted to tubeless compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. |
