Description
The Rocky Mountain Instinct has a SMOOTHWALL Carbon frame that uses 150mm of travel on the front and 140mm of travel on the rear. The frame features RIDE-4 adjustable geometry so you can dial in your ride for the terrain you ride on. The frame also comes with 2-bolt ISCG-05 tabs, internal cable routing, and integrated frame protection.
The C70 version of the Rocky Mountain Instinct comes with a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 10-51T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through rough terrain much easier. Shimano XT Trail 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide superior stopping power so you can descend with confidence. RaceFace AR 30 tubeless-ready rims are paired with Maxxis Dissector tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the RaceFace Turbine R Dropper Post, you'll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle with the press of a lever.

| Technology | RIDE-4 adjustment system The RIDE-4 adjustment system allows riders to quickly fine-tune their geometry with a pair of Allen keys. Four configurations are possible thanks to one rotating chip. Two-positions axle Two Altitude and Instinct frames, in both alloy and carbon, are equipped with a two-position axle dropout. SMOOTHLINK suspension Smoothlink suspension is efficient yet supple when you’re on the pedals and across a wide range of gears. It features a controlled end-stroke and a rate-curve that feels more capable than the travel would suggest. Modular shock mounts Available on Altitude and Instinct carbon models, the modular shock mount allows for future suspension kinematic updates.
