Specialized Status 160 Bike (Smoke)

Trail bikes are perfect for riders who enjoy doing just a little bit of everything. With more suspension travel than a cross-country bike, you'll be able to climb efficiently and descend with confidence. The Specialized Status Bike can be set up to be fast and furious, smooth and stylish, or somewhere in the middle. It has an M5 alloy chassis and rear-end that uses 160mm of travel on and front and rear. The Status is built around running mixed wheels meaning 29" on the front and 27.5" on the rear. The frame features an FSR suspension design, Mixed Wheel Trail Geometry, a threaded bottom bracket, Boost dropouts, and internal cable routing.

 

The 160 version of the Specialized Status comes with a SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain. This includes a cassette that has a hill-crushing 11-50T gear range that makes climbing and pedaling through demanding terrain much easier. SRAM Code R 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide excellent stopping power so you can descend under control. Specialized 29 hookless alloy rims are paired with Butcher Grid Trail tires that can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the X-Fusion Manic Dropper Post, you'll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle with the press of a lever.
