The tall knobs punch through dust and loam to find traction, but also offer support and confidence on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only in certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to go fast everywhere.
| Features | 3C MaxxTerra Intermediate triple compound configuration that can be used for most types of riding. As a result of less rolling resistance, the MaxxTerra compound is a great choice for riders facing uphill climbs. EXO Cut and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected. Wide Trail (WT) Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm internal width rims. A minimum of 6mm clearance between all parts of the bicycle (frame and fork) and the tire is recommended. Tubeless Ready Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted to tubeless compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. |
