3C MaxxGrip
By using some of the softest rubber available, the MaxxGrip compound creates a tire that has unparalleled traction, even on steep trails with rocks and roots everywhere. With more rolling resistance than MaxxTerra, the MaxxGrip compound will make a noticeable difference when used on steep and wet trails.
EXO+
Cut and abrasion-resistant construction combines two of Maxxis' best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO. The SilkShield layer runs from bead-to-bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls.
Wide Trail (WT) - Maxxis Wide Trail XC tires are optimized for use with 30mm internal width rims. A minimum of 6mm clearance between all parts of the bicycle (frame and fork) and the tire is recommended.
Tubeless Ready
Tubeless ready tires provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube-type tire; and less chance of flatting. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted to tubeless compatible rims and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure.
